Baclayon Church

Baclayon Church stands proud since year 1727. It is one of the oldest churches in Asia and foremost among the best-preserved Jesuit-built churches in the Philippines. That’s what one of the flyers you can read at the side entrance of the church.

Though centuries old, the church still looks so elegant. Its altar boasts a number of different holy statues. And there’s a pulpit that reminds me of the books that I have read on the Jose Rizal era. The ambiance inside the church is so solemn, husband and I had to whisper when we talk and we had to keep reminding Yena not to run in the aisle. The pews are old too, and praying inside the church seems like you’re prayers or wishes about the best acne treatment will be granted at once.
