We woke up early on our second day at Bohol so excited that we will tour its countryside. It will be our first and only tour and the good thing was our driver Kuya Rey was so accommodating he showed us not only the Countryside but also the Panglao tour which includes, the Dauis church, the Bohol Bee Farm and the Hinagdanan Cave.
Our first stop was at the Blood Compact Shrine which is said to be the approximate spot where Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Rajah Sikatuna made a ritual to enter a pact of friendship and end the hostilities during that time. The site is located at Barangay Bool, a few kilometers from Tagbilaran City. The shrine, with the bronze statues of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, Rajah Sikatuna and among others was created by the national artist Napoleon Abueva. The shrine boasts the overlooking view of the Bohol Sea.
