My mom turned 61 yesterday! We celebrated her birthday last Sunday at a resort near our place. We all had a blast, especially the kids who have been dreaming to enjoy the swimming pool once again.
Last night, we surprised her with a cake that has her favorite cherries on top with three little candles that she shared blowing with her three most-loved grandchildren. She has another cake from a friend that we feast on while watching TV.
I was thinking of sending her flowers but knowing mom she would just tell me to just send flowers usa to her cousin who lives in Chicago instead, that aunt shared same birth date with her. We ended the night by giving her a little black box that has a set of gold earrings inside. Knowing her who doesn’t like gifts, she scolded us once again for throwing money for her sake.
But the world would not be enough to give her everything her heart desires. We love her that much. Hope she had a very happy 61st birthday.
