35 weeks; and on Hip Pain During Pregnancy

My hospital bag is ready. The baby things including mine, husband and daughter’s stuffs are all packed. It’s as if we’re going on a getaway. Yena has been asking me when the baby will arrive, I cannot recall how many times I’ve said that it’s getting nearer everyday. She just cannot wait to see the baby.

I thought am feeling some labor pains last weekend. Since Saturday, I wasn’t able to move around like the way I used to. I woke up with numbness in my right buttock and the hip pain doesn’t go away until the next day. I stayed in bed for the whole weekend thinking that the numbness would go away, it did Monday afternoon. I searched online on what I was feeling and it has something to do with Sciatica.

Sciatica ( /saɪˈætɪkə/; sciatic neuritis)[1] is a set of symptoms including pain that may be caused by general compression and/or irritation of one of five spinal nerve roots that give rise to each sciatic nerve, or by compression or irritation of the left or right or both sciatic nerves. The pain is felt in the lower back, buttock, and/or various parts of the leg and foot. In addition to pain, which is sometimes severe, there may be numbness, muscular weakness, pins and needles or tingling and difficulty in moving or controlling the leg. Typically, the symptoms are only felt on one side of the body. Pain can be severe in prolonged exposure to cold weather.Source: wikipedia.org

I had to change my sleeping position and take my prescribed medication (Isoxsuprine; the same medication I take when I feel some pain in my lower tummy) and I feel better since Monday. Now i can’t wait on when the baby will finally come out. ^_^
