Understand your Babies Cry

Taking care of infant is a big challenge. It’s the best feeling in the world when the baby smiles at you but it can be very frustrating when she cries and no comforting efforts seem to work. I am so thankful to learn about Priscilla Dunstan’s video and her research on how to understand the babies cry. Her video has two lessons, lesson 1 is composed of the three words (Neh, Owh, and Eh) and the lesson 2 for the 2 words (Eairh and Heh)

You can watch the video on youtube after playing with your Saints Row 3 playstation or download it online. You can watch the first lesson here.

Here are the 5 words to better understand your babies cry:
Neh – distinguished N sound. Baby is hungry. Needs to be fed
Owh – distinguished O sound. Baby is tired or sleepy. Needs to be put down to sleep.
Eh – distinguished E sound. Baby has upper wind pain. Needs to be burped.
Eairh – distinguished R sound. Baby has lower wind pain. Needs comfort by changing position and massage on her tummy and on her back.
Heh – distinguised H sound. Baby is uncomfortable. Needs diaper change, add lessen clothing if hot or cold, or change position

I am grateful I learned about this now that my baby is 2 months old. Every time I hear her cry I listen to the distinguished letter and act on it. It’s a continuous learning process and it’s fulfilling to unlock each cry she made, it’s like talking to her mysteriously.
