When shopping for desk lamps that would suit your want and needs can be quite challenging. You may come across different designs, styles, brands and bulbs similar to minka lighting. Some people would rather use a table lamp rather than desk lamp. Most desk lamps are fixed on the table or study desk and some desk lamps are used as bedside lamps too.

But aside from the traditional desk lamps or those quoizel lighting; there is a design called gooseneck lamp. This type of lamp is ideal for desk with small space because it can be installed using clamp so that it would not eat much space on the desk. Other gooseneck lamps are wall mounted on the walls adjacent to the work area. It is also bendable; hence it can be focused directly to the person using it without causing disruption to the people working nearby.

The right desk lamp should also use the right kind of bulb. Some bulbs are cost and energy efficient which can save you a big amount of money in the long run. Find the bulb that would provide the right amount of glow that you need. It should not be too bright to strain your eyes and not too dull to create a depressive mood in the work area.

I have seen this exercise on the news and thought about starting this so called four-minute workout that promises to burn 600 calories. It only takes 4 exercises for 4 minutes to get fit every day and it can gradually help you achieve the weight you so long desire.

Here’s the easy step of the four minute work out:
Step 1 –Do 10 counts of jumping jacks
Step 2- Do 10 counts of squats (raise both hands throughout this routine)
Step 3 – Do 10 counts of Push ups
Step 4 – Do 10 lunges for each legs
Step 5 – Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the span of 4 minutes

If you’re home based, you can check out some slot nuts on the wall while doing your push ups facing the wall. You can actually do these religiously at home and see the actual result after a month.

I enjoyed being a stay at home mom for five months, enough that I almost forgot my usual function at work. I prepared myself months ahead to the day I would finally leave my little bundles of joy at home but as expected I still cried. It is always hard to get back to work after maternity leave, I guess that’s the case for all working moms I know.

It has been five months of waking up late with my two daughters beside me. I would get the eldest ready for school and take care of the little one, cook their meals, wash the dishes, play with them and just being with them 24/7. My routine being a full time mom is hard, they say it’s the hardest job in the world and it’s true. Being a mother has no rest. It has no contract but you stay on forever.

I am stronger the day I step back to work with the thought that my sacrifices are for my two daughters I leave home. A little sentimental too that from time to time, I have to take a peek at my leather wallet that has my family picture inside. And it’s an inspiration to go on and work hard.

If you have just given birth and is thinking of ways on how to lose the pregnancy weight, I am sure you’re wondering what diet or exercise would help. Don’t think harder while blowing air from macanudo cigars or turn yourself into helplessness by drinking alcohol. If you’re breast feeding your infant, it would help a lot to lose the fats more easily but a little exercising could help not only on your body but also your mind. Exercising helps in increasing your circulation, it helps you lose the fats and help you with any post partum depression you are experiencing.

You can start by doing some stretching, do some stomach exercise as much as you can (but never to the point of exhaustion), go for a walk, do some kegel exercises and do some yoga or aerobics. Just make sure you follow a healthy diet and drink plenty of water every time you work out. Don’t rush losing the post pregnancy weight fast. It will soon disappear just as long as you follow a healthy routine.

Don’t you wish you could pick your child from pallet racks and choose those easy child and easy to feed? That might give you a lot of easy time but if your child is hard to feed, here are some of the feeding tips that could somehow help you and your child to end the dining table as a battle ground;

Be neutral. Do not criticize, coerce or give too much praise on your child’s eating habits.

Feed your child on a calm environment and avoid distraction on eating time. No to watching TV while eating please.

It’s good to avoid snacks in between meals so she can eat on meal time that is 3 or 4 hours apart.

Meals should be short as children have short attention span. It should last from 20 to 30 minutes only. Give her 15minutes on the dining table if she doesn’t like to eat.

You can introduce new foods one at a time if she seems cooperating on your eating routine.

Allow him to eat independently and learn to tolerate mess while she eats.

Taking care of infant is a big challenge. It’s the best feeling in the world when the baby smiles at you but it can be very frustrating when she cries and no comforting efforts seem to work. I am so thankful to learn about Priscilla Dunstan’s video and her research on how to understand the babies cry. Her video has two lessons, lesson 1 is composed of the three words (Neh, Owh, and Eh) and the lesson 2 for the 2 words (Eairh and Heh)

You can watch the video on youtube after playing with your Saints Row 3 playstation or download it online. You can watch the first lesson here.

Here are the 5 words to better understand your babies cry:
Neh – distinguished N sound. Baby is hungry. Needs to be fed
Owh – distinguished O sound. Baby is tired or sleepy. Needs to be put down to sleep.
Eh – distinguished E sound. Baby has upper wind pain. Needs to be burped.
Eairh – distinguished R sound. Baby has lower wind pain. Needs comfort by changing position and massage on her tummy and on her back.
Heh – distinguised H sound. Baby is uncomfortable. Needs diaper change, add lessen clothing if hot or cold, or change position

I am grateful I learned about this now that my baby is 2 months old. Every time I hear her cry I listen to the distinguished letter and act on it. It’s a continuous learning process and it’s fulfilling to unlock each cry she made, it’s like talking to her mysteriously.

I will be back to work a month from now but am I ready? Not YET. Physically NOT. I have nothing to wear to work! My old jeans don’t fit me anymore and I dread fitting my slacks and skirts and my whole corporate dress, i know they will not fit. Emotionally NOT. Now is the time I think about my little one and the day I have to get back to work is like going to a war field. This is the hardest moment of being a working mom. Its really hard to leave her but the thought that my mother would take care of her while am at work is comforting enough, I know she will be taken care of very well. Mentally NOT. Staying at home for five months, I don’t know what’s waiting for me at work. Seriously, I already forget what to do. But that’s a big challenge for me, and am looking forward to face all that challenges.

The remaining weeks I need to prepare myself physically, mentally and emotionally. Even if I want to choose to just stay at home and be with my children 24/7 I can’t. I guess, that’s the painful way it has to go for working moms.
